Do you see Arizona as an endangered state for The Republicans at the presidential level?

I don't know since it swung to Romney even though of the growing hispanic population there.

Long-term: Yes.

Short-term: No. Lots of angry old white retirees, white flight exurban families, and Mormons. Turnout among Latinos is still pretty bad in a lot of places.

It won't be until the 20s at the earliest that Arizona will be a swing state.  Not that the Dems couldn't get it sooner if there were a blowout.

Yeah, this will happen, but much more slowly than we were assuming.

What about Texas too? That is interesting since 26 percent of its electorate is hispanic.

It's going to take a couple decades after AZ flips.

The local immigration issue I believe is holding it tough for the GOP.  AZ should be better in play for the democrats than its been, but the statewide democratic party is still pretty weak.  Give it time though.

That's probably what's causing the Republicans to still do well there. Arizona Democrats probably don't know how to campaign. It's the same deal with Texas and to an extent Florida (which should probably be a blue state).
