McCain not running in '08
October 5, 2006 - Senator John McCain ruled out a 2008 presidential bid, telling CNN's Larry King "I am perfectly happy representing Arizona in the U.S. Senate. I ran for President in 2000, and I enjoyed every moment of it. But, I am honored to serve in the senate as well."

McCain backs Giuliani, will co-chair campaign
3/15/07 - Sen. John McCain of Arizona backed Rudy Giuliani's presidential campaign at a stop in Lebanon, NH. McCain told a crowd of roughly 120 that "Rudy Giuliani has the experience and judgement to be President of the United States." The Giuliani campaign later announced McCain, a 2000 presidential candidate, would chair Giuliani's campaign.
