Conditions: Bobby Kennedy never gets shot and Reagan wins the GOP nomination.

Give me a prediction and a map.

You pick the VPs.

You forgot to include my hero George Wallace.

Sen. Kennedy selects Senator and Fmr. Gov. Gaylord Nelson of WI as his running mate. Retaining the support of most of the party's activist youth, the Chicago convention proceeds without major incident. Gov. Reagan selects the long-time fiscal conservative Senator from DE, John J Williams.  While retaining some of the support of Goldwater voters in the South, Reagan pledges to enforce the Civil Rights Act.  With Gen. LeMay endorsing Reagan, Wallace selects singer and Fmr. Gov. Jimmie Davis of Louisiana.

Gov. Ronald Reagan (CA)/Sen. John J. Williams (DE)      46.4%  281

Sen. Robert F. Kennedy (NY)/Sen. Gaylord Nelson (WI)  46.0%  224
Gov. George Wallace (AL)/Fmr. Gov. Jimmie Davis (LA)    7.3%   33
