Sheeple (a portmanteau of "sheep" and "people") is a term in which people are likened to sheep, a herd animal. Pretty funny cartoon, but there is a detail about it that's really off.

So, there is an ancient race of zombie sheep lying underground waiting to be awakened, and everybody seems well aware of this... except the paranoid conspiratard?? Makes no sense!

It could be argued that the reason they are aware of this is that with the rise of the sheeple, the wool was pulled from over their eyes.

The language might seem a bit odd, but what the metaphor is getting at is very apropos.  In order to do good, people need to open themselves up and take risks rather than cling because of a false sense of security to what they have always done before.

Yeah, sorry about that, but the fact is that 1) Elections are held in 3 weeks in Italy - 2) It happens that I saw two sigs I really wanted to comment. Also, there are people posting here who have kept their sigs much longer than I have...

I hate it when people comment out of line in this thread, whether they say "skip" or not. Best way to deal with the situation is just add comment to the sig above.
