Afleitch, the worst sunburn I've ever had was at the Australian Open - I had the tan line from my shorts for a year or so! Even now, years later, I still feel like I can see the line. Anyway, after that sunburn, my legs started to get properly hairy

Also I'm of the view that bears don't have to be hairy, but Afleitch is not a bear. They *do* have to have some facial hair.

But I'm glad you've started that journey, Torie... this seemingly recent acceptance of your sexuality could actually prolong your life.  Now you just need to find a nice man to take care of and that'll pretty much guarantee a fine elderhood.

Yes, I am in the learning process, but per Wiki, it does not appear that being hirsute is a sine qua non of  bear status. It is more about sporting a masculine image, and afleitch certainly fits that bill. But if one wants to focus on hair (it is mentioned as a factor), that should be enough to slip me into bear status perhaps.
