I was wondering why Dan Cox did so well. This is probably why:

This is probably what happened in Utah with Jim Matheson and the mysteriously popular libertarian candidate who took off just votes to ensure Matheson won.

Well, in Massachusetts Libertarian candidate probably ensured Tierney's reelection and Tisei's narrow defeat. And so on...

Hell, Tester himself won by a slimmer margin than Stan Jones received in 2006. Praise be to Allah for the MT Libertarian Party.

It's pretty hilarious to see the Party of Big Money get screwed at their own game. Smiley

While I can't say I'm happy at the result of this election, I can at least be glad that in the US your right to free speech is taken much more seriously than in most of the rest of the world.

And, in any case, Senator Tester isn't the worst Democrat this could benefit:

The Democrat who came closest to my support was Jon Tester, in Montana, followed closely by Joe Manchin in WV and Heidi Heitkamp in ND.

While I can't say I'm unhappy with the result of this election, I'm far from glad that in the US shady financial tricks are held to constitute exercising one's right to free speech.

Would explain the relatively good performance of libertarian candidates across the country.

In 2011 I was jailed for two weeks after I said I'm not happy with election result in my country.

God Bless America

Twenty years actually, he's posting from the Gulag.

If you think these dirty ad campaigns sway all that many voters though, you're probably beyond redemption. Third candidates do well in contested races when the two top candidates smear each other with filth from head to toe and ignore the third candidate.

While you make a good point in general, I doubt Antonio has applied for citizenship...
