I was curious about this, so I will start this thread.  If you don't know their religious beliefs or affiliation, then don't answer it or say "Don't Know".  Go ahead and start with me, and feel free to discuss.

Well, I guess anything old-fashioned will work for you... so there's your operative question.

To me, "old-fashioned" means 100+ years old.  In that case, I guess I fit pretty well where I am.  As for you, you fit very well.

HockeyDude: From what I recall, you've said you're an atheist.  So um, I guess, well? Tongue

For the next poster: I've recently converted to Evangelical Lutheranism.

The ELCA (I'm assuming that's what you mean by Evangelical Lutheranism) seems to fit him well. Politically liberal but probably not so liberal on doctrine like many liberal Christian churches where nontrinitarian beliefs or pluralistic beliefs are commonplace.

Not very well, but of course there isn't really any affiliation he'd fit well.

Please elaborate.

___

From what I know of Vineyard churches, reasonably well, but not really hand-in-glove well.

I don't know enough about Nathan's views to say anything with 100% confidence, but he fits Catholicism fairly well, with some major issues.

I'm Episcopalian, although I can definitely understand why one might think I was Catholic.

I'm not sure what your denomination is, but I can imagine you fitting pretty well into most forms of Christianity, albeit more conservative relative to the mainstream of some of them than others.

Nathan probably fits the Episcopal Church quite well, considering how knowledgeable about his faith he is. Tongue

Well he's quite a bit more ornery and vocal than most non-believers, but that alone certainly doesn't make him not fit well.

Evangelical Lutheranism is the liberal in policy, conservative in doctrine one, right? Seems to fit your personality on this forum pretty well.

And for the next poster: I'm a regular Mormon in terms of faith.

Not very well, for obvious reasons.

That definitely depends on what you mean by "conservative", though I suppose the point that "conservative" doesn't necessarily mean "fundamentalist" is a valid one. Still the basis for "conservative" here is being mostly free of Spong-style "theological liberalism", which is a bit like calling someone an economic conservative if they reject Marxist industrial nationalization.

Of course. It's "scene". Interestingly, it seems to define him in much the same way fervent believers of traditional religions are shaped by their beliefs. Either that or he's just bent whatever it is his church teaches around to fit himself.

Seems to fit quite closely into the image I have of the episcopalian church.

(Oh, and I am a Roman Catholic. Not that you didn't know)

Depending on what theology you emphasize, you fit Catholicism well.

Depends on how conservative of a Mormon you claim to be

For the next poster I'm Assemblies of God

I think he fits it decently.

As typical of someone from south Louisiana, I'm Catholic.

I think Scott will find a home very much to his liking in the ELCA.
