The competition for second in South Carolina begins

"Senator Coburn's social views are from the 1800s and that's not where we want to go, we want to go to the future. Senator Coburn's social views are wrong for our nation, and frankly, wrong for Russia."

"What we've got here is a case of Mr. Moderate Chris Christie, talking big because he's big enough, but all of that is bluster when you realize that he is closer to the liberals than I am. I am a true conservative with real fiscal conservative and social conservative credentials and that's what I've run my campaign on."

"My colleagues all try to make it seem like my voice is non-existent, and yet we keep on running hard against them. We keep making their wins smaller, and yet they treat us like a non-issue. Let's continue this in South Carolina!"

Condoleezza Rice endorsed by Colin Powell

On The Democratic Side...

"Yes, I did hear Governor Cuomo's comment. Don't down him too much, he's a good man, and I also have a great deal of respect for him. But frankly, he's wrong, and I wish he'd realize it before it was too late."

"There is the compassion of the Democratic party that I am willing to continue and push forward. I am no status quo man, as some of my opponents may be."

Damon finally swings through and campaigns in Florida

Emanuel gets key endorsement from Former Governor Charlie Crist (now D)

South Carolina Results:

Jindal pulls off a victory, Christie wins fight for second

Republican:
Bobby Jindal: 33%
Chris Christie: 21%
Tom Coburn: 20%
John Thune: 14%
Brian Sandoval: 8%

"We are winnning this fight, and we will continue this fight. Onward to Florida and onward to victory!"

"Second place in South Carolina, not bad. In fact, pretty good actually. And we go on!"

"The establishment candidate only got around a fifth of the vote, while the conservative candidates got well over fifty percent. These aren't good numbers for Governor Christie, and as I congradulate Bobby Jindal, I remind our supporters that we can't balance a budget just on social conservatism!"

Statement from the Thune Campaign

"We are making serious headway. I got word from the election board that we have officially beaten Governor Cuomo, who outspent the rest of the field 2 to 1. I congratulated Vice President Biden on the phone a couple minutes of ago, but as of now we aren't playing games with this campaign, we are the campaign of forward motion!"

"We are picking up delegates by being competitive in every state and we are going to make every state our mission because this is a campaign of the people, my friends, and Florida is next on our sights and we plan to win there!"

Statement from the Damon Campaign

"I really wasn't expecting this... Wow, Florida does reveal a lot!"

Damon drops out, endorses Patrick

"Our strategy was a colossal failure and I apologize for it. See, that is honesty. The only person in the Democratic field who seeks that honesty is Deval Patrick, and while we may not agree on every issue, he's a working mans kind of man, and I appreciate him running against these corporate shills. I endorse Deval Patrick and I am dropping out of the Presidential ring, which was much harder than I thought it would be."

Sebelius, by surprise of many pundits, drops out, endorses Emanuel

"I read the tea leaves of Florida, and, to be frank, they said I had no chance. So I am withdrawing from the Presidential race and endorsing my good friend Rahm Emanuel, because he has the experience and expert knowledge to run this country into a new Renaissance. Trust me on that."

Arizona-Michigan Debates:

Republicans

Who Won?
Chris Christie: 40%
Condoleezza Rice: 20%
Tom Coburn: 11%
Brian Sandoval: 10%
Bobby Jindal: 5%
Tie: 6%
Undecided: 8%

Christie takes opportunity to prove himself, defeats Coburn, Jindal handily

Chris Christie came out swinging in the best debate of his career. Coburn and Jindal, who were projected due to their victories in the Triple day primary, were roundly pounded again and again by Chris Christie, who would not let up on them. Jindal attempt to snipe back but got fact checked by the moderator. This was a good night to be Chris Christie.

Arizona:
Bobby Jindal: 29%
Chris Christie: 26%
Brian Sandoval: 15%
Tom Coburn: 13%

Democrats

Who won?
Deval Patrick: 32%
Joe Biden: 30%
Andrew Cuomo: 19%
Rahm Emanuel: 9%
Tie: 4%
Undecided: 6%

Deval Patrick holds on, though many think Biden performed strongly

Deval Patrick once again gives a sterling debate performance, but he's not alone. Joe Biden, Comeback Biden, Vice President Zombie, refuses to go down. His debate performance was as good or almost as good as Mr. Patricks and almost as good as when he took down Matt Damon. It was startingly to some audience how he refused to quit tonight, as many would understandably would. Cuomo performed respectably and Emanuel just got hammered.

Arizona:
Joe Biden: 28%
Andrew Cuomo: 26%

Christie makes an appearance in Washington, prepares for Super Tuesday

"As any of you know, I am prepared for the challenges that come for a President. These democrats all talk about how much they are like the last president, trying to appeal to their base. Don't they realize if they don't turn around, they won't be too electable in the national.

Also, to the Democrats, PLEASE ELECT BIDEN. I think that would be great."

New Jindal ad: Chris "Obama" Christie?

Chris Christie favors himself a fist pounding conservative, but lets be real: Chris Christie supports violation of our traditional marriage, supports drug dealers, and loves huge government spending when it favors himself.

Lets think of it this way, in what ways is he different than the President?

Not very many, don't be fooled

"I'm Bobby Jindal and I approve this message"

Coburn dips into debt again, relies on surrogates to give their own

Retired Senator John McCain, after endorsing Christie, calls for an end to the primaries

"This has gone past the point of being effective, and what we need to start doing is uniting behind our nominee!"

Meanwhile, on the democratic side...

Patrick's record as Massachusetts Governor brings some questions to Progressives

Bloomberg, inspite of all indications, endorses Joe Biden

Cuomo looks for endorsements in Illinois, not campaigning elsewhere

Media shocked by how long Biden has lasted

"If these last batch of disappointments and upsets are anything to take from, at some point towards the end of this thing we might have Biden the democratic nominee. None of us were saying this earlier on. All of us were saying that Biden lead early on purely on name recognition, and he would fade very quickly. Turns out, we were completely wrong on that, and many other instances where we thought the Vice President was finished. Maybe he could pick up the nomination after all, if Patrick and certainly Cuomo aren't able to get up and get it for themselves. It's still a long road, and Patrick certainly seems like he's ready to get this thing under control, but any crack and its Comeback Biden."

Results from Kansas:

Coburn hangs on for dear life in the Sunflower state

Tom Coburn: 39%
Bobby Jindal: 37%
Chris Christie: 24%

Christie responds to Jindal's advertisment

"Let me tell you about that ad, there is so much spin on it it could roll away from ya if you aren't paying attention hard enough. The accusations within the ad are below the level that I think of when I think of Bobby Jindal, and I doubt he thinks this ad is going to change minds and raise the conversation above petty attacks. It's really one of the more ridiculous things I've seen in my political career."

Jindal not backing down, calls Christie an "Obama Republican"

"Chris Christie talks tough, acts tough, but when it gets down to brass tax, he's not a conservative. In fact, he's something much worse: he's an Obama Republican. 50% conservative, but 50% of the time you'll find him voting with the Obama-led Democrats. Do we really want to be led back to hope and change by a false prophet? Chris Christie is not the conservative nominee, and he never will be!"

Biden isn't that unelectable!! I think he wins in Illinois, considering Obama has endorsed him.
