He got 53% in the GOP Lt. Governor primary in 2010, with Fairbank's retiring State Representative as his only significant challenger. He's a self-funder: 70% of his contributions in that race were from himself. However, since this is his first elected office and Alaska's Governor and Lieutenant Governor are elected on a ticket in the general election, he's never faced a general election campaign before.

You can do it Joe Miller, save the Republican Party from people who want to win elections!

I think he's about our best option here, other than Parnell, of course.

No, 'twas Peter Shumlin who nearly got mauled by a bear.

This has to mean that Parnell is out of the running. A pity. Well, Treadwell seems like the sane choice. I supported Miller in the Primary and General in 2010 but fully realized how much of a nut the guy is when he began to post every kind of Paultard conspiracy theory. The whole handing Murkowski another term after scoring an incredible upset victory pissed me off, too.

Anyway, I think we need to see Begich's ratings soon. This one is probably still one of our best pick up chances but you never know with the quirkiness of Alaska...

Polling there is pretty spotty, best to rely on in-state firms. I expect Cook/Sabato/Rothenberg will have it as an initial tossup.

Signs that you're on a political forum, I suppose...

You've not heard of Timothy Treadwell?

Can't say I have.

Back on the OP, I wonder if Palin will make mischief here on Miller's behalf- if he runs.

But you see why 'Treadwell forms exploratory committee' in Alaska, might be funny?

Nothing earth shattering here, but Treadwell won't run if Parnell does.

Which indicates that there is at least a remote possibility Parnell will run. Excellent.
