Anything under President is inappropriate for this American hero.

Who? Chambliss? Maybe we can get Cleland to run against him in 2016.

My guess is that Price will run against Chambliss in the primary and Handel will run for his House seat.  I have also read that Broun is considering a run, but I really hope he doesn't, because that could easily lead to either him or Chambliss winning the primary.  It's really too bad that Jim Marshall didn't run in 2008, he might've won that year, given how well Martin (a much weaker candidate) did in the November election.

As BK said, the Hall County operation might come up with a candidate as well. Chambliss' campaign manager in 2008, was a Barnes supporter. Handel was one of Deal's primary opponents, and thus Deal might want a piece of this pie as well for one of his loyalists.

Is Saxby Chambliss one of those people we can all agree is despicable scum? I mean, uh, not a fan of Herman Cain for obvious reasons, comedy aside, but... yeah.

READ THE GEORGIA MEGATHREAD GUYS GOSH

Cain and Barrow have already flat-out said they weren't running. Karen Handel and Erick Erickson are sounding like they obviously want to run, and Tom Price is likely to jump in as well.

Broun or Graves might still run, as could several of the lesser statewide elected officials.

The more fractured GOP primary the better, in my opinion.

Marshall was my Rep. until Austin Scott (terrible man) beat him.  He would have been a fairly good candidate, and nearly any high-profile Democrat probably would have been able to take down Saxby in '08 - even King Roy himself. Grin

As much as I hate to say it, Broun might very well be worse. Graves, on the other hand, I'd happily take over Chambliss.

It would be ironic if a man opposed to popular election of senators were to seek a Senate seat. Tongue That's without counting his Birtherism and general batsh**ttery.

Which is why I don't see him furthering his career after this term is done.

I guess I just consider seventy the cutoff age for politicians to seek new/higher offices.  But hey, I bet it's been done at some point in history.

I believe I've stated this before, I supported Martin in 2008, and am willingly to once against support a D over Chambliss. But, I hope Handel runs.

If Broun runs, I might just...ugh...I dont even know!

Why are we even having this conversation? Anyone actually reading my first post in this thread would recognize that I was joking around/trolling.

PPP Twitter:

@ppppolls: The only Republican who gets anywhere close to Saxby Chambliss in a one on one primary at this point? Herman Cain.

He isn't interested if people don't really show interest. We need to go out with signs, we need to DRAFT CAIN!

(kind of semi-serious, because Chambliss is an asshat.)
