Why doesn't Pennsylvania or the Jewish Community vote Republican? Some places and groups are such low strategic value or small and have such a disorganized oppositional machinery that though there are arguments that they should vote for the other side, they simply don't because those who could swing those communities stay home. Of course Pennsylvania is another story, but that could be because the incumbent's machine is that strong or the incumbent always has this sense of inevitability. At any rate, some good analogues to this could be Laramie, Wyoming, which has a large Hispanic and student population but Obama lost by two or the State of Texas, where Romney did slightly better than McCain despite 4 years of Hispanic growth.
