South Carolina and Georgia might be states, perhaps even better than Arizona (I'm thinking that the Arizona problems are probably due to poor organization than people just not believing Democrats) or Texas (more of the same?)  to look to replace electoral votes that may eventually be loosed or challenged in the rust belt...the same way that the Southern Rockies replaced Appalachian votes.

Sun belt for rust belt do make good replacements. Under today's electoral college this is a DEM win with 276; but in 2028/32/36 it's probably 271/272.
