I agree with the headline, but it didn't seem like that was what Driscoll was talking about. Driscoll was going on about the occult, which seems like a relatively minor problem.

Now the unrealistic view of relationships that those sorts of books provide can be as dangerous for girls as pornography is for boys.

I am, sad as it is, on Twilight's 'side', such as it is, in this.

Twilight is a steaming pile of sh-t.

But the idea that it is 'dangerous' is nonsense. Let's ban Cinderella if you're concerned about an 'unrealistic' view of relationships.

I'm not for a ban at all, but unless you deny that the relationship dynamic in Twilight is incredibly unhealthy, or that some girls may emulate it, why is calling the book "dangerous" so unreasonable?

Ain't no such thing as "real-life demonic trends".

Twilight is kind of like porn for women, but the notion that there's some sort of demonic trends occurring is just stupid. It's the same kind of nonsense like with Pokemon being of the devil and the purple Teletubbie being gay - "Christian" leaders need something to scare people so their followers will send money. Or they're just stupid.

Driscoll is basically a classic example of a real life troll. I don't know how much of what he says he actually believes, but I do believe he makes it as brash and absurd as possible to get more attention.
