"We may have come up short this time, but we will push on. As a great Senator once said. The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the Dream shall never die. And with that, I enthusiastically endorse Howard Dean for President of the United States. He is the Change America needs. I will work for and with him in the coming months, and hopefully years ahead. Thank you, God Bless You, and God Bless America."- Sen. Obama

"My fellow Democrats, my fellow Americans, it's time to come together and stand for your rights. The rights to freedom of speech, of religion, from want, from fear. It's time to exit a war that continues to cost American lives and dollars. It's time to reform our broken health care system. It's time to revitalize a stagnant economy for all Americans, not just the richest among us. It's time for a change in Washington. It's time to send Senator Murray and I to Washington to fight for our great nation."

It's Official: Bloomberg/Bayh!

The day after the DNC Convention concluded, Michael Bloomberg was scheduled to attend a campaign rally in Noblesville, Indiana. The Bloomberg Campaign had began spending considerable resources there, and with no word from the campaign on whether they'd announce his Vice Presidential election, most assumed it was just a standard campaign rally. However, the crowd soon realized that was about to change...

Bloomberg: First off, before I continue any more, I want to give my sincere thank you to Oprah Winfrey on
her touching endorsement. She ran an incredible race, overcoming odds and fighting from within to try and create a new era in American politics, an era void of partisanship and establishment figureheads. While she came up short, I thank her for joining our team, our effort to shake up Washington D.C., for the better.

I'm ready to bring moderate, bi-partisan leadership to Washington D.C. How about you, Indiana?

But there's still one very important piece to the puzzle...I need a partner to help me bring this change to Washington. I need someone who shares the same belief that I do - a belief that the current, two-party state our nation is in isn't working, and that we need new leaders in Washington that represent the people, not their party bosses. Well, my friends, I'm pleased to announce that I have found that candidate. This man served successfully as Governor in the Midwest, working with both Republicans and Democrats to balance budgets and put his state moving in the right direction. He then went on to the US Senate, where he's been a moderate voice in an otherwise partisan chamber.

In my meetings with this man, I just know that he has what it takes to successfully lead this country as Vice President. I know for a fact I found the right guy, and am absolutely thrilled to be standing here today announcing that the next Vice President of the United States...a man you all may be familiar with, Senator Evan Bayh!

*Crowd Cheers*

Bayh: Thank you, May Bloomberg! Now, that was a nice surprise for you all, wasn't it?

Several month ago, I was able to sit down and have a nice, long meeting with Mayor Bloomberg. I was thoroughly impressed by his grace and kindness. I was absolutely blown away when he asked me to serve as his Vice President - I know I may be offending many in my party for making this decision, but that doesn't worry me. You see, what party I belong in has never been an issue for me, as my goal has always been to serve the people of Indiana, and only them. I accepted this position because I know that under a Bloomberg Administration, a new page will turn in America, a page that wipes away the partisanship and establishment era in D.C. and brings about a new sense of hope change, and real leadership.

Our nation is struggling right now - our economic situation continues to worsen, we're in an unpopular war, and our national infrastructure is failing. This is due to the failed leadership of both Bush-McCain as well as the Democratic Party. We need new leadership in Washington, bi-partisan, Independent leadership. Both Howard Dean and John McCain represent the establishment for both of their parties - Howard Dean even ran the Democratic Party for a while.

My fellow Hoosiers, we have a special opportunity in this election to stand up to the failed leadership we've seen in Washington D.C. and begin a new chapter. I urge my fellow Hoosiers, my fellow Americans, to join me in making this country great again. It's time for a new day in America, rather than more of the same! Thank you, and God Bless!

"RNC starts this week. McCain has a big opportunity to retake his large lead. He just needs a good VP and more campaigning. We can't lose this election" - Newt Gingrich

"Oh, Bloomberg, what a great choice! Evan Bayh was a great Governor, he's been a great Senator, and the best colleague I could hope for. Moderation to the White House! You have my vote, Michael. I'm sorry Johny, you are not the problem, but I'm doubtful about you being the solution". "BTW, here you have the third independent senator hahaha..." - Senator Dick Lugar (I-IN)

"It's official now. I'm supporting Bloomberg" - Mayor Michael Nutter (D-PA)

"If you are a republican and feel ashamed after 8 years of Bush -and I'm sorry about that-, you have to vote for Mayor Bloomberg in November" - Colin Powell (R-NY)

"I've heard that Howard Dean loves guns. I was going to vote for Michael Bloomberg anyway, but now he gets my official endorsement. Thank you Michael, if you weren't running, I'd have to stay at home on Election Day or vote for someone I don't like" - Mayor Gavin Newsom (D-CA)

"Absurd, this is absurd. Michael Bloomberg is not a progressive, he's not a new face, he's not a good mayor. Democrats who support him are DINOs, they should not call themselves democrats. Shame on you, Oprah, Newsom, Nutter, and specially you, Bayh" - Former President Bill Clinton.

Senator Dick Lugar: Bloomberg is Our Guy!

I've been in Washington for several decades, and because of that, some may argue that I'm part of the establishment. If there is a bi-partisan, reform-friendly establishment group in Washington D.C. I don't know about, well, I suppose I should join.

I've been fighting for bi-partisan solutions throughout my time in the Senate - recently, I have become more and more dismayed by the hyper-partisanship dominating our Capital in both the legislative and executive branches. I'm tired of how things are going, and I think it's time for something different to happen.

I endorse Michael Bloomberg and Evan Bayh because together, they form a ticket full of big ideas and bi-partisan solutions. They understand that one party isn't going to fix the mess we're in - we need both sides working together. I don't believe John McCain will be able to do that, and I certainly don't think Governor Dean will.

Indiana, America, we have an excellent opportunity in this election, better than ever before, to reject the failed two-party system and send a true reformer to the White House. Please join me in voting for Michael Bloomberg.

Colin Powell: Bloomberg is a Leader

I'm going to be blunt - the failed policies of President Bush have severely damaged this nation both internationally and at home. Senator McCain backed almost every one of those policies, and would no doubt continue these failed policies. Our nation simply can't afford four more years of this.

Howard Dean, like McCain, represents everything that is wrong with Washington D.C. We don't need a President that is so focused on party politics and believes America can be "won" by one side or the other. Governor Dean was one of the most liberal Governors in one of the most liberal states. We need bi-partisanship and compromise to get this job done.

That leaves us with one option, and it's certainly a good one. Michael Bloomberg and Evan Bayh are both leaders who have spent their whole lives working with both sides to bring their respective city and state together. I fully trust that they will lead this nation with integrity both here and abroad, and look forward to helping their campaign and eventual administration in any way I can.

Dean Campaign Ad
To be aired in the following states

Michael Bloomberg's run his campaign as an outsider, someone who will fix America like he fixed New York. So what's his record in New York City?

-Schools and daycares closing down
-"Little to no" improvement in test scores
-Among the highest income inequality in the nation
-Arresting thousands of anti-Iraq protesters

His running mate, Senator Bayh? He was one of the first and most enthusiastic supporters of the disastrous war in Iraq. For real change, support Dean/Murray in November.

I'm Howard Dean, and I approve this message."

OOC: And finally, after more than six months of hard fought battles, the primaries are over, and the stage belongs to McCain, Pataki, Bloomberg, Bayh, Dean, Murray, Nader and Kucinich.

The funny thing is that there are so many conservative candidates in this race that we might have a new record in turnout in the South...

OOC: Haha, right.

In my opinion, McCain made a huge mistake in picking Pataki. With Bloomberg siphoning support from Dean, McCain just needs to keep the conservative base in line and he should win. Picking someone even more moderate than himself might siphon a few votes that would have otherwise gone to Dean, but it will lose even more due to the very conservative wing of the party sitting it out.

Mayor Bloomberg has released the following radio advertisement. It will be running it in all 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia.

Radio Ad: Work For You
Bloomberg: Look at American politics today. On the left, we have an establishment candidate with a hyper-partisan past, calling Republicans brain-dead and using hate as an adjective to describe his feelings toward them. On the right, we have a candidate who has spent decades in Washington, and the Bush-McCain policies are largely responsible for the mess we're in.

America needs new, bold leadership in Washington D.C. Someone who is ready to shake things up and bring an independent perspective to the White House. I'm Mike Bloomberg, and I approve this message because I'm ready to work for you, the American people.

A Green Vice President: Nader picks Kucinich

VP Candidate Dennis Kucinich makes a huge announcement in Portland, Oregon!

"I am tired of the way that the Democratic Party ignores its constituency and continues to elect people who are not dedicated to trying to help our country. Instead, they continue to elect folks who don't stand on principle and simply emulate Republican talking points and play ball on neo-liberal field. It's time we got a real Liberal in President, someone who has fought for customers, and that man is Ralph Nader. Nader has spent his whole life standing for the little guy when bigger forces would hold them down, and I've admired him and even voted for him in 1996 against all odds. I was a loyal Democrat, but for Congress in Ohio I will also be running as a Green, because I believe my Party has betrayed the people of this country too many times and it's time to take this country back from the corporate owners that are ruining this country.

It's time to make Green energy less of a vision and more of a reality. For too long, we have wasted government resources on tax cuts for the top bracket and perpetual war since the 40s. Under a Nader-Kucinich adminstration, that would cease to exist. We would leave every place we have continually and unnecessarily occupied for years. We would raise taxes on the top bracket, founding a more progressive tax code for future generations so we can build for the future. We will fund companies that are doing research into Green energy, and put far more money into education, because education isn't just important on a state to state level, its important to our national security.

Folks, I have a record in the Congress in Ohio, and that is a record of fighting for the little people and never bowing down to the special interests. That record and Nader's record of customer defense is what we need in the White House, not more corruption, illegal wars, and ill-regard for our future. It's time... For a Green Presidency!"

Internal Poll for Ohio 10th District Congressional Race:
Congressman Dennis Kucinich (G): 34%
State Representative Jim Trakas (R): 32%
City Councilman Joe Chimperman (D): 22%
Undecided: 12%
