2008
Obama: 44.79%
McCain: 53.32%

2012
Obama: 19.90%
Romney: 76.94%

WTF? I mean, Indiana swung significantly back to the Republicans this year, but Cass County swung way, way further than anywhere else in the state. Also:

2004
Kerry: 30.97%
Bush: 68.05%

Bush won 59.94% of the vote statewide in 2004. Romney won 54.33% in 2012. Again, WTF happened in Cass County this year?

Edit: CNN says Obama got 5,365 votes in Cass County. The Atlas and also the Indiana SOS say Obama got 2,181 votes. They all agree Romney got 8,432 votes, though. So maybe this is an error? Would be weird for CNN to have the right numbers when the Indiana SOS is wrong, though.

I recall Kosciusko county being the most heavily GOP and it was also in 2008.  I don't believe Obama got under 25% in any Indiana county and only a handful did he get under 30%.  In terms of the swing it seemed for the most part pretty close to uniform or at least there wasn't any area that swung really hard or any that went in favour of Obama.

Probably a counting error. I assume it's the 5,000.

Either way, did it still swing the most anti-Obama of any county? If not, which did?
