In other news from the poll:

If Hillary does not run, Biden leads big.

If neither Hillary nor Biden run, Cuomo leads big.

Excellent news!  But I have to be honest, I'm still pessimistic about Biden's chances of winning the general election.

If Clinton doesn't run:

Biden 26%
Cuomo 15%
Warren 11%
Patrick 9%
O'Malley 3%
Schweitzer 1%
Warner 1%

If neither Biden nor Clinton run:

Cuomo 22%
Patrick 18%
Warren 15%
O'Malley 1%
Schweitzer 1%
Warner 1%

Favorability / unfavorability among member of their own party:

Clinton 85 / 11% for +74%
Biden 75 / 18% for +57%
Warren 64 / 18% for +46%
Patrick 56 / 16% for +40%
Cuomo 40 / 17% for +23%
Warner 11 / 6% for +5%
O'Malley 10 / 8% for +2%
Schweitzer 5 / 5% for +/-0

Rice 83 / 8% for +75%
Ryan 80 / 13% for +67%
Rubio 65 / 8% for +57%
Christie 69 / 14% for +55%
J. Bush 63 / 11% for +52%
Huckabee 62 / 21% for +41%
Palin 55 / 31% for +24%
Rand Paul 48 / 28% for +20%
Santorum 47 / 27% for +20%

On the GOP side, who leads among….
Tea Partiers: Rubio
non-Tea Partiers: Christie
not sure if Tea Party: Christie
Christie leads among pretty much every other demographic group.

It's again interesting to see the comparison between favorability and choice for president.  Like in Iowa, Republicans have an extremely high opinion of Ryan, but not many want him as their first choice for president.  Really, these polls are not encouraging for Ryan.  He has nearly 100% name ID and Republicans love him....yet they don't want him as their first choice for prez.  Though I guess it means that if some of these potential competing candidates don't run, Ryan could benefit.

Also, Patrick and Warren both have higher name ID in NH than Cuomo does, and Dems have a more favorable opinion of them than Cuomo, yet Cuomo still gets more support for president.

I believe that Cuomo won't even come close to the nomination. His constant shiττing of fellow Democrats won't sit well with a primary electorate that had no qualms to reject Hillary for her Iraq vote. And this time they will have even more viable choices.
