I believe the town charter of Dixville Notch calls for the dog that hangs out in front of the general store to break the tie. It is a little vague on how he actually expresses his preference

By putting a poster cut-out of both candidates side by side and which ever candidate the dog mauls is the loser.

* That's not how it is, but its fun to think like that!

2004: 19-7 for Bush
2008: 15-6 for Obama.

2008 was the first time since 1968 than a Democrat won. Clinton finished 4th in 1992. It isn't a good indicator, especially than the area lost population.

The question is who were the half that left?  I'm very surprised at no Johnson votes.  If these are the same 10 voters, we know Obama got at least 1 Republican primary voter.  They also went 2-1 R downballot.

Dixville Notch is not comparable anymore with 2008 though, because only 10 people are registered to vote anymore (hotel owners and workers only).

A more comparable thing are the 2012 primaries, where 3 persons voted for Obama in the Democratic primary and 6 people voted in the Republican primary.

So, a good showing for Obama ... Wink

Turnout is higher than 2008.  Maybe the other 11 people from Dixville Notch moved here?

Well, I was really off on my Hart's prediction. Numbers look good for Obama though.
