Clinton is in Ohio on Monday, Minn on Tuesday, then later in the week Iowa, Colorado, Virginia, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin.

Clinton draws people to events as well as generates local news coverage and it seems to me that he is campaigning pretty hard. I don't recall a previous presidential election with a former president campaiging at anything near this rate.

I don't even recall former candidates of the same party campaigning at anything near this rate.

Is this unprescented?

Probably, but we haven't had a president as popular as he is that was young enough to be able to do that in a long time. Clinton is more popular than Obama, and I'm sure he wants to keep he and Hillary out there in case she decides to run in 2016.

An Obama win sets things up perfectly for Hillary in 2016 - there will inevitably be a much improved economy by that time, and if Romney got in to take credit for it he'd almost be guaranteed two terms, by which time she's too old.

1992, a bit, but he was a lot older.

Obama is counting on riding to victory on Clinton's coat tails, since he knows he can't do it on his own.
