Good for you! Smiley

When I was out in Utah, I was more motivated to walk and get outdoors - the air is much cleaner, and there's always pretty scenery to look at.

I appreciate all of these weather updates on the forum, Bushie. I have a nephew and niece out there, so now I know to be expecting snow pictures in the next few days! Smiley

Did you find any difficulty in finding a church service you liked? I know when my relatives moved out there, they had some problems finding a right place with a good children's program.

Bushie, how do you like being around so many kids when you're out in public? I'm sure it must be very different from Oklahoma!

There are kids in both places, so I'm not sure what you're referring to.
Well, due to the high Mormon population, kids are certainly more abundant out and about than they are in Oklahoma. Have you not noticed that?

Bushie, you just brought back a great memory.

Growing up in southern Kansas, going to Braums was a very special treat. We would usually go there after Sunday evening church - my favorite ice cream there was the caramel cookie dough. I usually went to the one in Parsons - I wonder if it still open? I'll have to check.

I'll actually be in Southern Kansas during the Holidays, so that might be a stop I make as well.

Oh, Bushie, there was something I have been meaning to ask you...

What is your opinion of fry sauce? I don't know about you, but as a fellow Midwesterner, I hadn't heard of it until I went out there last summer, and everyone out there just raves about it! Personally, I don't care for it too much.

Never heard of it.
A lot of fast food places offer it, most notably In-And-Out (If you haven't been there, I'd recommend it. Dunno if they have it down in Oklahoma).

I always load up at the salad bar when I'm out to eat, as well as on the rolls. That way I can buy a cheaper item from the menu as I won't be as hungry. Wink

I have never watched an inauguration in my life - I watched maybe about 20 minutes of Obama's in 2008, but it was just the early coverage of it. This one will be no different.

While I was out I chased down the Biggest Loser Wii game and the Wii Fit mat to go along with it.  I can't wait to get started!
You're already burning calories! Excellent. Wink

It's good to see you making such an all-around effort, Bushie. While we may have different motives, I have also made it a goal this year to start eating healthier and exercising, as well as kick a couple other bad habits I have.

I'm currently on Insanity, but I don't know how much longer it will last. It's killing me. I'm sure I'll be able to do it all eventually, but I'm in such poor shape right now that I think I would die trying.

Unfortunately, I was not able to go grocery shopping today as I am dealing with criminal activity that occurred at my house in Oklahoma today.
What happened? Huh

I did get a much welcome offer this morning.  One of my coworkers has offered to go with me shopping for groceries and give me tips on how to select healthy foods and also how to cook them.  This guy is in very good health and only cooks healthy food when he is the one in charge of the meal.  His wife likes to splurge on a little junk food every now and then, but when he is in charge he likes to cook only healthy food.  I may take him up on the offer before long!
Do you shop at Whole Foods? I'm almost certain there is one in Central City. We went to another place up in Layton...the name can't come to memory. I want to say Fresh Market...

I love The Fresh Market! I wish they had one around here. Whole Foods is great if you can afford it, but Trader Joes is better if you are on a budget and are looking for healthier items. I've never gone grocery shopping at Wal Mart, so I can't comment on what that's like.

Shopping healthy really isn't that hard though.
Trader Joes is where we go here in Kansas City - a nice place.

As Memphis said, though, while the places mentioned are more ideal, Walmart also offers surprisingly good and fresh food. Perhaps you should consider planning your meals out in advance.

Bushie, have you followed the 2013 Presidential election in Kenya much? My brother will be heading over there in a couple weeks for mission work, and I'm helping him with a couple small projects, one being doing webcasts on American History. Also ended up doing some research on their upcoming elections, and was wondering if you had thoughts on them. Smiley

Should it ever arise, I have a brother who is a plant manager of a fairly decent-sized plant in Utah - I could mention you to him if you end up needing a job.

Sibling hate, eh?
No, I'm close with my brother. I'm sure Bushie would be an excellent employee.
