Tomorrow is Tuesday, December 18, 2012. As most of you know, I have a very involved method of changing my calendars for the new year. With my Christmas Vacation coming up in 4 days, I will be beginning my Calendar Changing Procedures from 2012 to 2013 tomorrow night! For me, its not a matter of taking one down and hanging one up. I have a ritual I go through with each and every calendar, wall calendars and desk calendars alike. This procedure will conclude at 10:30 pm MST on Sunday, December 30, 2012.

The best possible word to describe that particularly ... interesting process.

We're just now starting to get the switch from rain to snow.  We still have light rain, but we also have some very light snow starting to mix in.  The storm track has shifted a tad north.  At the 5:00 News they were thinking the heaviest accumulations were to be in Central Utah between Provo and I-70.  Now, the cold front has stalled farther north than what they thought and now the heaviest accumulations expected in the Southern Salt Lake Valley into the Utah Valley between Murray and about Payson.  (Look on the map along I-15).  So, the storm total forecast is now 5-10" for my area!

Please elaborate. What does your ritual entail? Animal sacrifices?

Well, I don't have to worry about driving.  The roads are bone dry.  All the snow stayed south of us.  Sad

I can't figure out the frown smiley.  WTF you hate driving in snow and you'll take 2 days off work to get to the airport 2 days ahead of time if it does snow?  Are you a masochist?

I think he did wanted to see snow. You know, the "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" type deal?

This is one of those things where I can not tell which is worse:

-Bushie's fear he could have a heart attack in walking 1.25 miles or
-Bushie's refusal to drive to 1.25 miles because of SNOW!!!11!!!

1. Buy a hat.

2. Stop moaning.

3. If you're scared of snow and/or cold weather, then perhaps you shouldn't have moved to Utah.

Welp, my work schedule is changing.  Starting tomorrow, I will be working 6:00-14:30 instead of 8:00-16:30.  This is in preparation for the New Year.

You won't be there to work it.....you're going to OK.....and probably that trip will cost you your job.

I doubt it.  This is our slow time, plus I'm only taking off one extra day out of the Christmas Eve/Christmas Day voluntary work days that being Wednesday, December 26.  Other than New Years Day, I'll be there every day.

It looks like Valentine's Day 2013 merchandise is already coming out. I'm really not surprised, though. We are less than 2 months from Valentine's Day. In the commercial industry, Christmas ends on or about December 15 not December 25. They'll gear up for the returns and exchanges on December 26, but they'll go straight into Valentine's Day and even grills, tractors, and fertilizer. Also, since Easter is in March this year, look for Easter merchandise to come very soon.

Also, on my phone and my tablet is showing 148 hours until Christmas Day 2012 in the Mountain Time Zone.  In 148 hours (actually 147 for my phone since I'll be in Oklahoma), it will automatically reset to 8,759 hours until Christmas Day 2013.  So, immediately when Santa leaves his presents, my phone and my tablet will be preparing for Christmas 2013!!  Like owner, like device!!

Are you going to start the countdown to Valentine's Day on December 26, 2012 at exactly 0:01?

Well I do hope we receive regular updates on the time remaining until those very important events.

OK... you go out to the mall on December 24 and tell me they're not still busy beyond belief with last-minute shoppers.

I doubt he can take it with his state of mind.
