I never thought I'd see the day but BushOK stated in a Facebook status update that he stayed up too late playing Monopoloy so he couldn't make it to church this morning.

Gambling and missing church? Where did our boy go wrong? Sad

If he were Catholic, I would recommend going to confession immediately. That not being an option....how can he save his soul?

I think you may be right. I mean, the extramarital sex....the impulsive lying....and you know, various scams are one thing.

But missing church without an even somewhat sensible excuse.... I think this could really be it.

Was it really a good idea for you to buy a home in Oklahoma in the first place?

Actually, if you're sore, don't push it. You risk injury. Your body has to rest eventually. At last, that is the way I do things when lifting.

That's a good idea.  I'll just do a light routine tonight.

Or you can stop being such a p#ssy and go work out.

FTW!

One step at a time. He's still learning how to drink water.

At least we're going back to the plot arc where he starts referring to himself as an African and that he's about to "go home to Africa."

He won't have a job waiting here, so he might as well go "home".

Well, to be fair, it's absurd that you apparently have to fear losing your job for taking a 10 day vacation in the States.

But that's the way it is, and it seems like he's going to need a new job every year if he insists on taking all this time off.

Wait, the enlightened German world allows that long of a break within 6 months of getting a job?

Not entirely sure, I think the vacation entitlement begins after 6 months. Which is 4 weeks a year, so I think Bushie would actually be entitled to half that after working for half a year.

Eh, it doesnt matter. He'll be at a different company by that point.

IIRC he quit a job by taking unauthorized time off.......he'll do it again.

Well that's just stupidity...

Well it's good that this friend is in Utah and not Oklahoma. I imagine their idea of healthy eating is ordering a hamburger with no french fries. And if particularly motivated, leaving off the cheese!

Why does he only hang out with men these days? Bushie needs a new woman in his life!!!

Bushie "coming out" would certainly improve this season dramatically.

Should it ever arise, I have a brother who is a plant manager of a fairly decent-sized plant in Utah - I could mention you to him if you end up needing a job.

Sibling hate, eh?
No, I'm close with my brother. I'm sure Bushie would be an excellent employee.

Would you be interested in my beachfront property in South Dakota?

Has anyone here yet congratulated Jeff for seemingly now thriving in the work environment?  Or is the general sentiment here not to take any of that at face value?

The latter. You know: "Fool me once, shame on you. (...)"

If he found the bottle, congrats to him. I just hope he knows him limits. Working while buzzed can be a great feeling. Last year, after my first mock deposition, my team went out and pounded drinks for an hour for lunch and then went to class at 1:30. It was the best class I have ever been to!

Our university has a beer garden that's open in the summer. I've filled up before an evening class from time to time...and it did indeed improve my lecture experience.
