I haven't quit, but I let myself get discouraged after a couple bad days.  I'm going to   let myself eat what I want this weekend and then go on a brief one-week diet next week before I take a break for Christmas and New Years.  I want to be able to enjoy myself the rest of the year and not be tied down to a diet, so I will start my long term diet on January 1.  I want to carry that diet through at least my 31st birthday.

Oh boy...

That's one reason you shouldn't weigh yourself every day. And it should also show that you weren't really losing a pound a day to begin with. You don't just wave your magic wand and get skinny.

Also consider that the more you "enjoy yourself" for the reat of the year, the more you'll have to lose whenever you get around to it.

I'm not sure Bushie understands how diets work. It's not something you do for a period of time and then stop and go back to your old habits. You change your diet, and your diet stays changed for the rest of your life.

It's especially problematic if more weight is gained during these "breaks" then is lossed during the diets.

Are you going to start the countdown to Valentine's Day on December 26, 2012 at exactly 0:01?

Valentine's Day, Kenya, Easter, and ultimately Christmas 2013.

Well I do hope we receive regular updates on the time remaining until those very important events.

Well, he left work after three hours today because his stomach was bothering him. So that's another day basically lost.

With all the junk he stuffs into it...

Going to the airport 12 hours before your flight is pure insanity.  That is all.
13

Do you know how much fast food he'll eat in 13 hours?  Ugh.

Well if it's that or walking all the way across the terminal building to get better food... You can't really expect him to attempt the walk with his lack if energy after a hard day at work.

You would never have been concerned about your weight if you didn't know that there's something very wrong with your physical health. Respecting your body is linked to your spiritual well-being.

The Lord will provide, Nix.

As far as I know, domestic airlines have never given alcohol for free. I remember the old days of reheated meals and free checked bags, but cocktails were always extra. It was quite a surprise to me when I flew Lufthansas in Europe and got free alcohol.

They used to on transatlantic flights. A few still do, actually. I got a free beer on American.

That said, I do try to avoid US based airlines whenever possible.

If you worked a 40 hour minimum wage Wal-Mart job, you'd make more money than with these crazy hours. And if you count the back-and-forth to Oklahoma, you'd have a lot more of your money left over...

It's the best I can do to offer a positive incentive (since negative incentives clearly didn't work before).  If I could send him more, I would, because I genuinely want to see him do well.

I'll send him $20 as well.

You and Inks want to pay a 30 year old for keeping his job?

I know I haven't gained anything, but I haven't lost anything, either.

Then your weight has to be exactly what it was before....or one of those statements is false. Smiley

I've got a weakness for Bacon Cheeseburgers.  The Ultimate in artery-clogging goodies!

Even ignoring that slight problem, I really wouldn't want to eat that...

I still don't understand why a thermostat would need to be set to a hgher temp just because it's colder outside. We all have an ideal temp, perhaps influenced by a desire to keep heating costs low, but a temp we are shooting for nonetheless. Why does the outside temp matter at all? I don't make my house any cooler on a 95 degree day than I do on an 85 defree day.the machine may have to work harder but I don't have to do anything.

The temp is relative, sometimes you can feel colder then you normally would at a certain temperate just because. If you're sick or just wearing more or less cold you might want to set the temp at a different setting to accomodate for it.

Exactly, If I'm cold, I don't care about my bill, I'll turn the heat up.  Subsequently in the summer, if I'm hot, I'll turn the a/c down regardless of the bill.

You've already adequately demonstrated that you can't handle money.

It's time you met a nice lady, Bushie. I remember when breaking news stories involved Tiffanye postponing returning the ring or Susan revealing she had a boyfriend in the past. Or that as of X time, you were no longer a virgin.

I'm not really interested in women right now.  If one comes along, I'm certainly not going to shy away from it, but I'm not going to go out and seek one.

Well go and find a nice fella, Jeff! We don't judge here and you know this!

Hey he's already in enough trouble for the incest thing. Don't encourage him to be even more sinful.

What can someone afford with $11/h in New York City? A cardboard box?

I certainly think that airport work is a much better idea for you than another call center.

At least he'd be unlikely to get fired. On the other hand, it wouldn't be a great idea for his weight loss efforts.

We need to really strike at the root of this "porn addiction" thing? How often do you watch it, Bushie?

It's possible that Bushie thinks Sports Illustrated's suimsuit edition qualifies as porn.

Wonder which one he'll choose to believe.
