Damn! They really do party hard out thurr

Ha, its the time he chose based on our work schedules.  We are both early morning workers.

Anyway, dinner was great.  We spent two hours eating and chatting.  That guy can pack away the food!  He ate for over 90 minutes straight!!  I ate too much myself, but I only ate for maybe 30 minutes.  I'll likely gain a bit by morning, but I can't really complain about free food!

90 minutes? What all did you guys eat for 90 minutes straight?!

Ruby Tuesdays had a salad bar IIRC. Everything on it was grimy and picked over.

Was the ice cream located on the salad bar like a cheap chinese buffet!? Cheesy

Something more ethnic I could probably try, or something more expensive.. somewhere that I know some slob isn't going to take a bite of something, or pick it up and put it back. The only place I tend to go is at a chinese/japanese place, because I can keep going up when the sushi and sushmi are made and get it fresh, and cheap.

Stay away from Chinese buffets, especially the ones with crab legs and ice cream on the bar! The only buffet I like is the sunday jazz brunch buffet with all you can eat oysters on the halfshell for $39 at one of the hotels here in town.

And for steak: http://hallschophouse.com

Oh c'mon Dukey, you and the country club crowd love your elegant buffets Tongue

That's what I was referring to above. The hotel is on the resort where my family has their home. Tongue

I LOVE well done buffets. But not these silly salad bar type places. Yuck.

Good stuff. I haven't been in forever though. And it's oyster season...

Methinks Bushie didn't get that new job.

All he had to do was ask his supervisor what was going on and take the new job if he wasn't given an answer. So turns down a new job to "wait and see" on your current job that isn't even working you?

I am not buying his story. It sounds too much like his past lies - i.e. bizarre decisions and then strange arguments to support them. "I would ask for my ring back, but I am sure she will call me tonight as she said she would!" type deal. Or the weight loss episodes.

I hope I am wrong, but I am nearly certain he was let go, otherwise he'd be a fool to turn down employment because he wanted to "wait and see what xerox is going to do."

Why even interview then? Smells way too fishy for me.

I get that, but you and I both know the call centers are hardly a form of stable employment given how often you have been fired from them in the past. I want to see you succeed as much as anyone. However, I do not understand the obsession with call centers. Is that the only job available anywhere? I just have a feeling they will never workout.

I'm sorry, but moving to New York is the last thing you need.

$11 in NYC? This would top all your bad decisions. Tongue

LGA isn't horrible. Of course, I don't mind New Yorkers so maybe it's just me. But he could afford to live even in Jackson Heights on $11 an hour. Given he's from Oklahoma, I doubt he'll be happy living in an ethnic neighborhood in queens.

It could be a more stable job though. Think about that. Right now you're making $12/hour but you aren't even working full weeks and will probably me laid off once again any day now.

It's so hard to get into the manhattan projects. The wait list is absurd.

Brooklyn is the new Manhattan. Essentially all of the young people are moving there because Manhattan is so expensive. There are a lot of great new places and restaurants opening there, so it's a really nice area.

I don't know anything about projects in other areas though. I imagine like most things in the city, they aren't easy to get in to either.

East Harlem, Washington heights, the Bronx, etc are still sketchy. But places like Greenwich village have a lot of crime too, mostly theft and property crime. Midtown is the same way. I don't know Brooklyn crime wise. I had a friend who lived there this summer and didn't have any trouble though. NYC is a pretty safe place generally for a big city.

Texans or Pats? The only team I will remotely want to pull for if the Texans lose is the 49ers, and that's only because of my boyyyyy Kaep. I'm still in shock the f**king Falcons managed to beat the Hawks in the way they did.

I want the Texans, expecting the Pats.

I want Ray Lewis to get another ring on his way out kinda like the Bus (Jerome Bettis) several years ago.

I guess that would be a good story. I could pull for the Ravens if all else fails. If it ends up being a NE v. Falcons SB, I will just drink all night and not bother watching that game. But surely Kaep will crush Matty Ice.

At least something is happening in this tragedy now. Only 2 days after Bushie turns down another job to "wait and see what they will do," he gets canned. Of course, this is one of the reoccurring themes in this series. I applaud the writers for at least changing the topic off weather and Sizzler's steakhouse.

I really would consider looking for an airport type job there like you were looking at with Delta in NY. I have no clue why you keep going after these tech support/sales jobs that chew you up and spit you out, but you keep doing it and I guess that's all part of the show. Tongue

God, I know where this is going. He will end up back in OK looking for a call center job once again. He won't live with his parents though. They will continue to pay for his house. I still can't imagine how they are affording all of this. BushKE never struck me as being a particularly wealthy guy or coming from money. But we don't know a lot about his family. I think he revealed his mom worked at HR Block in a flashback a few seasons ago.

I love how Bushie uses these sexual innuendoes like "I have a plan in my cooker" and "I have my antenna up, obviously referring to his penis and impregnating a lady. I also imagine him walking around with an antenna on his head and I start to laugh to myself.

What Andrew and I do on our Facetime chats are our business only. Please stay out of our private lives, Polnut. If you want in on it, just say so. Don't be so coy. Wink
