No.  Micheal was, as S. Moss said, good at first, but he became more of a cartoon character than Peter Griffin by the last few seasons he was on.  The Office is supposed to be more "real" than a cartoon, even more real than a standard sitcom.  When his excessive buffoonery hit it's peak it drew the viewer, or at least this viewer, right out of the show.  Dwight, Darryl, Toby, the Temp, Angela, etc are what made the show great.  Michael, Jim and Pam were just plot pushers giving the others a platform to give us the real jokes....at least most of the time past...say, season 3.

Whoa. I'm just shocked that NBC made the right decision for once.

What? NBC has had some of the best shows in recent memory. A lot are ending soon, if that's what you mean by bad decisions. I don't see how anyone can complain about The Office, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, Community, a decent NFL crew (except Bob Costas), and a promising reboot of The Munsters.

No big loss.

Now only if they'd have cancelled The Office.  It pains me to watch it.  It's like watching your favorite pet get hit by a bus, but instead of putting it out of its misery, the guy who hit it keeps poking it with a stick.

It was a great show, too.  It just should have gone seasons ago.  Like around season 5.  It's just another example of a network taking a great show and trying to milk every last dollar out of it, to the point where it ruins the show.  Like Babe Ruth's final half-season with the Boston Braves - just go already.
