>50%. That's a magic, magic number. Hopefully this will reverse any nasty trends in the early voting in OH, too. Every day matters so much more once early voting is underway. If the base is as ramped up again as they hope, we should see a bounce in those D ballots. At any rate, as I say, staying about 50% and keeping in the net positive in approval rating keepin' me calm.

Yeah, this is the state that will break Romney. I wouldn't be surprised if he won the popular vote and lost here. To get ahead, he needs another strong debate performance.

PPP has a pretty strong history in Ohio too, if Obama can gain a tad more nationally the early votes in Ohio might make the state impossible for Mitt. I'm sure "let Detroit go bankrupt" will come up Tuesday!

Romney COULD still win Nevada but given the polling average vs results history there, it is the last place in America mitt should expect to shock the polls.

Wow. Phenomenal early numbers! I'm also more likely to believe in the turnout of people who say that they have already voted vs those who say they will. What the hell are they waiting for?

Mitt Romney can't play the right notes on the dogwhistle... yet. I expected OH to be closer than VA, but it's the same(+5 in both cases).

Good poll, but with a slight Democratic lean.

nice try but no. Just look at how PPP has polled in OH vs other pollsters. Their OH polls have actually consistently showed some of the smallest Obama leads.  Just look at the late September polls...

Gravis Marketing   9/21 - 9/22   Obama +1
Caddell/McLaughlin/SAN (R)   9/13 - 9/15   Obama +3
PPP (D)   9/27 - 9/30   Obama +4
Purple Strategies   9/15 - 9/19   Obama +4
Ohio Newspapers/Univ of Cin.   9/13 - 9/18   Obama +5
FOX News   9/16 - 9/18   Obama +7
NBC/WSJ/Marist   9/30 - 10/1   Obama +8
Washington Post   9/19 - 9/23   Obama +8
Columbus Dispatch*   9/19 - 9/29   Obama +9
CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac   9/18 - 9/24   Obama +10
