Seems to contradict everything we've been seeing otherwise but let the freak out commence.

EDIT: It's possible that this is just a result of Pew finally unskewing their polls.

Wait, so will Republicans suddenly love Pew now (after complaining endlessly about how those polls that showed Obama up by 8 and 10 points respectively were clearly bogus)?

More Republicans sampled here than a Rasmussen poll! I guess you cant discount it but it seems like an outlier.

I don't know much about Pew, are they a bad pollster? I mean, that Obama +8 was a bit much but this seems to imply Romney got a 12-point swing that didn't show up in any other polls.

I guess it's possible that Romney led by some ridiculous margin on Friday alone. Tongue

Not Party ID, please, god, no.

Yep, and now Dems get to cling to Gallup and Rasmussen and complain about the R+5(!) party ID in Pew. Smiley

Romney is close to taking the lead in the RCP average for the first time.

Did Pew conduct any polls in 2008?

CNN was freaking out about this a little while ago.  Funny how it's always "breaking news" in the rare instances which a few polls show Romney ahead. Tongue

I think Pew made no sense when it had Obama up 11% and makes no sense here either...

Considering it included Thur/Fri... it's not surprise Romney would shift... but that much? uhn uh

OH... and Romney favourables overtaking Obama's lol... lol lol

Yes.  And even in 2008, their polls tended to be all over the place, showing larger deficits than other pollsters.

He actually opted not to do that surprisingly. He just put it in that sidebar where he usually puts poll results that are (or at least seem) favorable to Romney. Perhaps even he doesn't quite buy it. lol.

My gut feeling is that Romney had insane leads on Friday and Saturday, but they faded, which is why we don't say Romney +8 or whatever on Rasmussen. PPP will probably have Romney ahead nationally too.

What? full of s***?

Basic thing is, it's been clearly a sign of a dodgy poll when Romney is close to Obama among women... it's not going to happen.

Presumably people who responded to the poll did not want to acknowledge voting for a chump who got his rear kicked repeatedly. Shrug.

That might actually be true, and might explain the bizarre 12-point (!) swing.

Or just a crap poll? Considering Pew's history of crap polls, no one should have taken comfort in the Obama +11 nor the Romney +4

You know what's funny about a question in this poll, it asks "Who Would Help the Middle Class?", and in the past month, Romney has surged 8 points on that question. And you know who's driving that surge? Upper Income Americans who 47% said he did last month, and now 68% do. I was having a pretty good polling day til Pew came out with this crap.

You seem to perceive racist codings throughout the electorate. Didn't you tar the state of Ohio as such? I would suspect that such is fueling the Democrat collapse among whites.
