Pre-Debate Poll: Conducted Tuesday, Oct. 2 (N=590; margin of error +/- 4.03%):

Barack Obama 49%
Mitt Romney  45%
Undecided/no answer 6%

Post-Debate Poll: Conducted Thursday, Oct. 4 (N=590; margin of error +/- 4.03%):

Barack Obama 46% (change -3)
Mitt Romney  47% (change +2)
Undecided/no answer 7% (change +1)

Question asked of likely voters:

I'd like to ask you about the upcoming presidential election. Of the two candidates, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, which one would you most likely vote for if the election were held today?

METHODOLOGY:

Combined, both polls (includes interviews conducted Oct. 2 and 4; N=1,180; margin of error +/- 2.85%).

Each poll was conducted via live telephone interviews, landline and cell, based on random digit dialing methodology.
