50-47 Obama (LV)

How would you rate the job Barack Obama has been doing as President? Do you approve or disapprove of the job he is doing?

50-47 approve

...

53-45 favorable - Obama
46-49 unfavorable - Romney

For me, the most telling element of this poll... while people don't approve of Obama's handling of the Economy, he still beats Romney in the 'who would best handle the economy' question...

This looks pretty accurate to me.. I've always thought Battleground was a solid poll.

Ehhh....This is pretty telling of a margin between the size of 2004 and 2008...probably right between the two and seven points. Four points would give us 51.5 to 47.5.

Basically Obama loses states where he didn't get to 50% in and states where he was close in but didn't win, Romney does relatively better and Romney keeps Obama from 60 in a couple of states.

...Politico is one of the more unbiased sources out there. Their cartoonist is certainly no conservative.

My prediction stands: Obama wins by about 3% in the PV and 330-ish electoral votes. Romney picks up IN, NC, NE-02, and maybe NH.
