Even though Romney is being criticized by Liberals for his Libya statements, I actually think its about time he stood up strongly for something.

He can't win by default or being a moderate.  He can't win on just a bad economy, without vision and more importantly passion.

As terrible at governing Obama is, he is a GREAT Campaigner.  Obama is still a great speaker who can passionately connect with people.  Even though he has no capability to get things accomplished, he can convince people that he has the willpower to get them done.

More than anything else, people want to Believe and be entertained.  People vote with emotion, and they want an emotional connection to whoever is president.

Romney can't win by hiding from big problems and big issues.  He can't cautiously straddle issues with vague statements.  People want a warrior and a fighter.  Even though Romney's statements on Libya were awkward, its about time he grew some balls and re-claimed America's strength.

Romney doesn't need to be aggressive, he needs to be smart. He's displayed spectacular clumsiness and ignorance on basically every single issue he's spoken about since the start of the campaign. All of his economic positions are vague to the point of completely indecipherable, his foreign policy entirely incoherent, his social policy simultaneously really pandery and really timid.

Romney would be winning right now if he played to the center on social policy, picked a better running mate, kept quiet on foreign policy, and would specifically lay out economic positions for better or worse. He's basically done everything wrong.

He's not losing because he isn't hitting Obama hard enough... He's losing because he's firing at anything that moves... And looking like a fool in the process.

Romney has balls, but has clearly lost his marbles.

This board is slowly but surely turning into a DailyKos-esque Romney bash forum. It would be more practical and less annoying to have one thread titled "Romney is an idiot. Here is why he is an idiot today." Then, rather than 50 threads a day on why he is an idiot, you guys could bash away on the one thread and leave the rest for reasonable discussion of the election.

I know what you're saying, half the threads in the 2012 is unbearable to read anymore.

The problem is that every day the good governor finds a fresh and imaginative new way to demonstrate his idiocy.

True, that. Campaigning would work out a lot better for him if he never had to open his mouth.

No, he needs to drop out of the race before he embarrasses himself even more than he already has.
