Like watching men vs. boys. What a shambles Wenger/the board have turned Arsenal into.

Oh, Bayern will annihilate Arsenal I'm sure. It's okay though, of all the teams with a realistic chance of winning the CL, I'd by far prefer the FCB that isn't full of Catalan twats to do it.

Milan will take care of the latter point. Don't worry. Wink

Milan vs. Barcelona today.

Sadly, no TV channel here and in Germany is showing it live.

Only SKY (pay-TV).

The Swiss TV is showing it and I can get it, but once the game starts it gets blacked out here in Austria for legal reasons.

Prediction: 1-1

No non-premium channel in Germany is showing it? What?

Oh, I know why Germany isn't showing it: the two teams are from Spain (even though it's Barça) and Italy. They don't want to showcase two of their fascist WWII allies. More handwringing.

I don't know exactly why they don't show it on a free-TV channel.

Because I watched yesterdays game on the Austrian PULS4 channel and this one is free-TV.

And todays game is actually the more important one and they are not showing it anywhere ... Tongue

Maybe they got the license to show some not-so-important games, while SKY (the pay-TV) got the licenses for the important games.

What Germany clearly needs is something like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ofcom_Code_on_Sports_and_Other_Listed_and_Designated_Events

I don't see the Champions League on there.

Only one non-premium channel has the rights to show CL (which channel that is changed in 2012, but nothing else did or will for the foreseeable future) and they get only 18 games, one on every Champions League wednesday. Obviously if there's only one game with a German team in it, that game will be shown. That is Schalke vs Galatasaray.

Apparently in Bavaria there is a predilection for Catalan twats. Maybe the Bayern TV will showcase the game even if people can watch it while drinking beer in the brasserie?

1st half over and Milan is surprisingly good. Barcelona can't get much done because the Milan defense is not bad either. But more like a boring game.

super mario knows what's up

Milan just needs to defend like crazy and hopefully score a random goal on the break and they've got this.

Go figure! Barca blames the pitch for their loss.

Defending Europa Champs Atletico Madrid are already out. Sadly, Napoli will likely join them this evening but I'm trying not to give up hope!

Are this year's European competitions showing us that La Liga just isn't very good?

I was just about to post about this. Each Spanish side lost in the first leg of this CL round. Now Barça obviously has a chance to advance but hilariously, the surprise side/the team that is, as of now, barred from competing in any European competition for the next four seasons  - Málaga - probably stands the best chance at advancing.

Liverpool are coming back against Zenit now - 2v1 (2-3 agg).

Malaga has a huge British fan base. My mate, who went to a Malaga game last year, claimed that most of the home crowd was foreign (a mixture of English, Scottish, Scandinavian and German).

0-5 loss on aggregate. Cool.

Chelsea got through on a last minute goal.

Pretty weird collection of teams in the Round of 16. Spurs-Inter should be a good tie.
