Every topic on here seems to descend into trolling.

The 2012 board makes trolls of even the most respectable posters.

Just don't see how the first commenter can say something to the effect of : "let the Romney circle jerk commence," and then the 2nd commenter responds : "had this been a good Democrat poll, Dems would be all over it." Yet it's only the 2nd commenter who gets called out for "trolling"?? Uhh, ok.

Tweed is constantly trolling. We already know his MO and treat him accordingly. Why is this so hard to understand?

Look at it this way. People either ignore tweed or laugh at his expense. Do either you or Pepper really want that. Is that the type of poster you would like to be compared to?

WI has gone from "Safe D" to "toss-up."  Deal with it.

This.

It wasn't entirely Safe D in the first place, which is part of why we think you're overreacting.

You're completely missing what you did. TWEED made a troll comment, and Pepper pointed out his hypocrisy. So in your mind, if someone makes a troll comment, and then someone responds to point out their hypocrisy, that is trolling?

The VP bounce was probably going to be slightly larger here because it's Ryan's home state. Anyways, it's just one poll from a pollster with a lean to the Republicans.

Oh no, Pepper was trolling too. What threads are there where anyone besides bandit or some other troll like Mondale come out and say "where are the republican now". Celebrating is one thing, but inciting people like that is trolling. That is what tweed did and so did Pepper. And of course Pepper has done this before....

Good lord man, why is this your personal crusade?

People come here to discuss the poll, and they like to discuss it with people from the opposite side of the two-party system.  They just want to interact, thats all.  What's the harm?

PPP says "Highly competitive" on their Twitter feed. Last poll had OB 47, RR 46 so it should be interesting to see if that's changed.

They should do it without calling each other out and talking about circle jerks and askIng where the member of [insert party] are in a particular thread. I would also like them to rationally and logically analyze polls but that might be asking for too muh from the band of teenagers here.

I think we all agree with you that these fights are circular. What I don't get, is why call out pepper? You didn't even mention the comment from Tweed that elicited Pepper's response. But according to you, that's excused, cuz he's not a "newbie," (also, IMO, cuz he's a lefty.)

Well, Tweed always act like that, so we are used to ignore what he is saying.

Yeah.  It went from Lean D to Tossup D, which is the minimum of what one would hope would happen in the home state of a newly selected running mate,

Wow. Busy day. In any case, as pointed out I was making just making jest of Tweeds comment, and no insult was intended.  But its also pretty clear that  many on this board view Romney cheerleading as trolling and Obama cheerleading as insightful and profound polling anaylsis.

People thought I wasn't serious when I said Wisconsin could very well be the closest state.

And that remains incredibly unlikely.

Not if Obama loses by 3 or 4 points.

I'd go with lean D to pure tossup.  This should to those people who really thought Ryan was an absolutely terrible pick.  He was not the best choice in terms of absolutely maximizing Electoral Votes, but he is a net plus.

I accept that Wisconsin is in the tossup category at this point.  But what is the sample weighted by party affiliation?  PPP has been taking unrealistically weighted polls this year, and Survey USA had a ridiculous one of Florida last week.  But what is it for this one?

Unfortunately, you have to shell out some $$$ to get Rasmussen's crosstabs, party ID, etc. But there is a guy on this board who occasionally fills us in on that info. What was his name again?
