This very "hypothetical" person could have a wide range of views by the description you gave.  The high level of education would indicate someone of a more liberal persuasion, but the given age would likely moderate that.  Well, unless this person was a hippy in the 60s.  I'll take a stab and say he is socially liberal (supported by his lack of religion) but more moderate, pro-status quo economically due to his income.  Did I get anywhere near the mark?

Strong Republican, like voting straight Republican since Dewey. Likely to be a neo-conservative, supported Santorum in 2012, though was a McCain supporter from the start of the '08 primaries.

Interesting.  I am hypothetically related to this hypothetical person, but I (would) have never met him so don't know the first thing about his politics.
