My guess is that both she and her husband were previously fairly conservative Republicans who backed candidates such as Bush, McCain, and Romney though she was more of a social conservative while her husband was a standard business Republican. Their political views began to diverge in 2016 when her husband voted for Marco Rubio in the primaries while she backed Ted Cruz. While both despised Hillary and Obama, she favoured Donald Trump while her husband's dislike of protectionism and right-wing populism caused him to support Gary Johnson. By 2018, her husband was favouring Democrats in the midterms while she had become fully converted to Trump due to his pro-life record. She intended to donate to some key Republican candidates such as Rick Scott, Cruz, and others but stopped in order to avoid conflict with her husband and since technically he had earned it. Is this supposed to be a Wernher von Braun type? I hate being the thread hogger here but I'll respond given the inactivity. I would say his denominational affiliation (the liberal PCUSA vs more conservative branches like the PCA) will determine his politics. On balance, I would say he is a Never Trumper Republican who has shifted somewhat left since 2016 and loathes Trump at this point, voting for Biden in both the primary and general election. Still has conservative views on many issues especially national security and (to a lesser extent) economics. Supportive of Israel due to historical background.

She is Beatrice from Umineko no Naku koro ni and if you know the solution to the series she is not actually a thousand-year-old supernatural being, she just very convincingly plays one in real life. (Or, perhaps, she IS such a being and the "solution" is just another in the litany of ways she gaslights the series' protagonist.)
