Romney 46
Obama 46

And this is with a D+7 sample to boot. Mr. Romney is dominating with Independents who are believing in America again.

Some interesting questions in this poll.

1. Obama's approval rating has dropped to 42% among registered voters (the poll sample was D+7).
2. 57% of voters say Romney's Bain experience has an either POSITIVE influence on their vote, or NO influence on their vote. 40% say it has a negative experience on their vote
3. In one of the most ridiculously loaded questions I've ever heard a pollster ask, PPP asks whether people have a favorable view of Swiss bank accounts. 52% say they have either a favorable view, or NO view. 48% say they have a negative view.
4. Boehner is unpopular at 27/45%. Pelosi is downright disliked at 28/58%
5. Democrats and Republicans are tied on the Congressional Ballot
6. In another loaded question:

52% say they're more concerned with integrity of voting. Just 39% say they're trying to help Republicans win.

All in all, a bad poll for Obama. Bain seems to be losing its luster.

How could you miss the disapproval ratings? Considering they were just a "/" away?
4. Boehner is unpopular at 27/45%. Pelosi is downright disliked at 28/58%
I was referring to the fact that 45% disapproval is unpopular, 58% is downright disliked. Also, Boehner's net disapproval of -18 is what makes him unpopular, Pelosi's -30 makes her downright disliked. What about that isn't clear?

It is B.S., and everyone knows it, even people who won't say it.

Oh yes, let's hear the bitter comments and excuses from Dem diehards who believe Obama has this thing in the bag.

I have been saying all along this is a horse race.  This confirms it.

Something else weird about this poll. It's a 4-day poll, and Obama leads handily on 3 of those days. The exception is Friday, when he lost handily. Why Friday?

That evens out with obama getting 40% of whites, which is of course far higher than reality.

Gore managed 43%, Kerry 41% and Obama pulled 43% in 2008. Why would you expect Obama to do worse than 40% this time around? If the narrative is "horse race", then 40% of whites is probably the floor for Obama.

17% of blacks?  Hahaha, okay.

How do American Indians vote, usually?

Find the county-level results in South Dakota. See that 89% Obama county? Indian reservation.

It's certainly not the floor. Mondale and Dukakis performed worse than that with whites. The why is because the Democratic party has alienated the white community.

Obama isn't Mondale or Dukakis.

As if "the white community" thinks the Republicans are so great.

The GOP's dictatorial demeanor has alienated Americans of every color.

Better said that Mondale and Dukakis were fortunate to not be Barack Obama. Alternatively, of course, you could look at the 2010 elections which showed unprecedented white flight from the Democratic party.

A) Dukakis took 40% of whites in 1988; Mondale even managed 34% while losing 49 states.

B) Obama will not be losing by 18 points nationally (or even the 8 points that Dukakis lost by).

I thought PPP was the gold standard for Democrats these days. So they're losing their flare?
