Obviously, I can't get all of them on here, but I'll post photos of 16 national parliaments around the western world, and have a playoff system. IE, A vs. b, C vs. D, winner A/B vs. winner C/D.

First parliament with 5 votes will win; votes will be posts in this thread. Try not to be too political about it, just go on the buildings own merits.

Let's start with Australia vs. Canada:

Australian Parliament House (also known as the worls'd biggest Grassy Knoll):

I've actually rolled down the slope on the left hand side Smiley

Canadian Parliament:

Sorry the Aussie one is so big, it's the only good one I could find Smiley

Other 'matches' will be:

2: Sweden vs. New Zealand
3: UK vs. Italy
4: Russia vs. France
5: USA vs. Netherlands
6: Japan vs. Germany
7: too be nominated vs. Switzerland
8: too be nominated vs. too be nominated

The Hungarian parliament will go against the Swiss parliament in the seventh match.

Onto match #2: Sweden vs. New Zealand

Sweden:

New Zealand (The Beehive):

The only reason it gets in here is because of the building off to the left. Not really my style, but feel free to vote for it Wink

I vote for Sweden.

Match 4: Russia vs. France

Russia (The Kremlin):

I know it's kinda not right, but it had to be the Kremlin, really; the other building is shizenhousen)

France:

Both as historic as hell, which often affects my vote, so based purely on looks I vote Russia in a close contest.

As I said, I know it isn't the Duma, but it's impossible to overlook.

Russia wins.

USA vs. Netherlands

Now remember, try to put aside nationalism if possible Smiley

US Congress:

Netherlands, dating from the 13th century, in part:

It was hard to get a better picture of the Netherlands, seeing as I don't speak Dutch, so this photo doesn't really do it justice.

That said, I still vote for the USA.

Austria wins. So it's Canada vs. UK now. Someone might want to re-post the pictures, but I vote for Canada in the meantime.

I voted for Sweden, I just presumed New Zealand won.

I've just gone back to school and my head isn't fully with this anymore Tongue
