How old do you think Winfield and CARLHAYDEN are?

I'd estimate that CARL is probably in his 60s, while Winfield is over 50 at least.  What do you think?

Winfield is younger, 30s-40s. I am almost certain he is acquainted with, and thus a contemporary of, Mitt Romney's children.

Ah, fair enough. Regarding his personal connection to Romney, though, I'm willing to bet that Winfield is Mormon, and knows Mitt from back when he the Boston-area bishop for the LDS church. That'd probably cover Rhode Island, too, but if your age guess is correct, perhaps he went to school in Boston and even attended the same church/temple as Romney? Mittens could have even been his Sunday School teacher!

Considering that he's been posting since 2005, which was already seven years ago, we'd have to assume he was 10 years old back then. And even his oldest posts certainly doesn't apper to be written by some 10 years old.

"Winfield" isn't one person.  It's a collective account among Romney's five sons.  Each son tries to top the others in the ridiculousness of the praise lavished on his father, in an attempt to convince dad of giving him a larger share of the inheritance than his brothers.

I would really, really place Winfield in his late 30s or early 40s. I recall his comments on the gay ghettos- it was out of character for a young bigoted type, it was just old fashioned. I do think he comes from an old school, Rockerfeller Republican/traditionlist background. He's probably an investment banker or the type. He went to an Ivy League school, one of the HYPs most likely, or a small liberal arts college like Wesleyan or Trinity or Amherst. Unmarried, although I'd not be surprised if he was trying to change that. Winfield is likely a permutation of his actual surname.
