"I want to say Happy Birthday to what is still the greatest nation on earth!  She has a lot of problems, but she's still a gem.  Our Flag still stands for freedom, and no human can take that away.  God can take it away, but no human can.  "And, I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free, and I won't forget the ones who died who gave that right to me and I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.  Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land.  GOD BLESS THE USA!"  Today is not a day to focus on our problems as a nation, there are 364 days for that.  Today is a day to give thanks to the LORD that at least we still do have a free country.  We still have the freedom to pray.  They may take away our right to pray in the public square, in the classroom, in government office buildings, etc, but they can never take away our right to pray silently to our God.  Not all prayer is heard.  The best prayers are often unheard (remember the story of the Pharisee and tax collector).  God does not listen to what comes out of the mouth, but what comes out of the heart.  If we want a better nation, PRAY for her.  If we want a better president or better leaders, PRAY for them.  If you want a better representation of God’s Word to the people, PRAY for the church.  The problem with America does not fall on unbelievers, it falls on the inept church." - My latest status update on Facebook.
