Progressive Punch is a leftist group that has been keeping regular track of every congressional voting record, and rating them according to their level of 'progressiveness'.

Checked that out, it looks good.

I'll continue to look for scorecards, but if people can provide links it'd be a big help.

This site shows conservatives to be much more ideological than liberals. Also, I find it bizarre that they show Richard Shelby as more liberal than John McCain.

Due to his appointment as head of the SEC, and the fact that most organizations will not include him their scores now, I'd like to cut Christopher Cox.  Due to his indictment and resignation, meaning he too will not be scored by most organizations, I have to cut Randy "Duke" Cunningham as well.

If this is alright with everyone, I intend to replace these two players with Congressman Mike Honda and Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard.

That is fine. However, congressman can only be cut if they leave congress before the session is over.

Cunningham has already resigned.  Cox has already taken over at the SEC and been replaced by John Campbell.

Honda and Roybal-Allard are now on my team then.

Thanks to Nini for finding that.

If you guys could just post your congressmen's score here, like you did for the Progressive Punch, that would be appreciated.

The NC Liberals have the lead among teams who have both scorecards entered, thanks to an excellent National Journal performance. I'm in second, barely ahead of John and Gabu, who are tied for third. I'll post full results after the National Journal is scored.

With two groups scores added, it seems there are some things we can realize about the game.

1. The most important thing is having no tankers. Look at People's Rep. of Cambridge; in the National Journal rating, both their Senators had scores over 40. The NCLiberals were able to overcome a poor showing in the Progressive Punch scorecard by coming in second place in the National Journal, where many teams tanked.

2. We already knew this, but each group is going to be vastly different. Roscoe Bartlett scored a 5.04 for Progressive Punch compared with a 46.80 for National Journal.

It is also interesting to note that the bottom pick for the Blue State Blues last pick, Steve King, has been their best player...Anyone else notice the irony in Jim McDermott carrying the PA Far Righties...Russ Feingold has been a disappointment for the NCLiberals...Solid but unspectacular has been the name of the game for the second place Neo Moderates, who have no players with under a 5 average, but none with an average over 15.

Top Players so far (players with average under 4 listed):

Janice Schakowsky (DC Dove-Chicken Hawks)
Steve King (Blue State Blues)
Barbara Lee (All-American Crazies)
Pete Sessions (Oklahoma DustBowl)
Trent Franks (All-American Crazies)
John Carter (DC Dove-Chicken Hawks)
