1968 no doubt about, just look at the storylines.

1. The embattled President steps down.
2. Bobby carries the torch but is shot down at his peak
3. Nixon makes a comeback.
4. The war in Vietnam
5. Riots at the DNC.

Surprised HBO hasn't made a series about this yet.......
