The GOP base in Wisconsin is growing due to people being furious at the union thugs in Madison, but still, junk poll.

I think Wisconsin will be like it was in 2000 and 2004, but I don't think Mitt's leading yet.

Interesting that so far it is only the GOPers who are poo-pooing.  You guys have reason for optimism here - it definitely looks like the trend is towards a narrow Romney lead in WI, and the trends generally are towards a map something like this:

I don't believe it's a junk poll.  We did just win a highly charged, highly ideological race in Wisconsin last week by a 53-46 margin.  The junk poll was the exit poll taken on the day of the recall which showed Obama ahead.  Wisc is going to be highly competitive

To be honest, what also helped Walker was the fact that while some voters preferred Barrett's politics, they were frustrated by the whole process and just voted Walker because they don't think he had done enough to be recalled. Wow, I sound pessimistic.

I'm not saying it's not close, Romney may be even winning. I just don't think it's 3 points +Romney yet. Certainly a toss-up, though.

I would also still rate it a tossup, but there is certainly indication of a powerful and sudden pro-Romney trend.

Not buying a Romney win in Wisconsin yet, but it looks more and more like Obama's going to be playing some serious defense this fall in places like this. That's good news for Romney in and of itself.

This is an outlier from the other polls but of course it is worth keeping an eye on Wisconsin. I highly doubt it will be more Republican than the nation.

No, if polls like this bear any relation to reality, a certain subset of the people are bearing it away.

The money comes from people, certainly. As do the votes.

Yes, because the primary was funded by a vast network of common citizens, and not just a group of billionaires.

I hope it doesn't take long for another poll to confirm/deny.

Yeah, not a chance.

WI is probably more heated because of the Recall drama... but the ID is off and there's no anecdotal connection between the Recall and Obama (considering the exit poll showed a clear Obama majority, when the poll showed the recall being unsuccessful.
