As we stated before during the election, Strategic Vision historically has been a Republican firm, but appeared to poll as an independent polling firm and had a pretty good record in 2004 with regards to all races and with regards to Washington too.

Below are the results of a three-day poll of registered voters in the state of Washington for the contested governor's race.Results are based on telephone interviews with 800 registered voters in Washington, aged 18+, and conducted January 9-11, 2005. The margin of sampling error is ±3 percentage points.

1. Regardless of who you voted for in November's gubernatorial election, do you believe that the manual recount of the gubernatorial election accurately reflected the actual results of the November gubernatorial election?

I have some comments on this poll. 

I'll leave it up for a while before I make them just to see if anyone else has similar observations.

Not surprised that people say the election was stolen. Wish this happened in Florida in 2000.

Not surprised that people say the election was stolen. Wish this happened in Florida in 2000.

Republicans have better PR than Democrats.

Seriously, this situation is basically the same as in 2000. There are no perfect answers here. The media however either chose to take the side of Rossi in the stories in the press, or the Democrats simply didn't put out any arguments, because the stories that I read were filled with GOP points and literally no counter-points. With coverage like that, these numbers aren't surprising.
