Way ahead of 2008  for President Obama in this state. He won the state by roughly 10%.

Quite a change from 2008 when Republican thought so highly of their chances in Minnesota that they held their convention here.

This is interesting. I thought Minnesota would trend rightward this year, but so far it looks like the opposite will happen.

This is probably because 2012 is shaping up to be a classic Democrat vs Republican battle focused on economics, with Obama fighting for public employees, unions and a stronger federal government and Romney fighting for the private sector, big business and less government. Minnesotans love a Democrat who fights boldly for social programs and a strong safety net.
