This ain't fair w/ Washington included.

1. He was officially part of no party.
2. The other guys all were running for VP (officially for Prez, but c'mon!).

Would have loved John Jay or Hamilton to win the primary. 

Hatin' on John Adams!? But yeah, Jay would be a good choice. Hamilton, too young and inexperienced--plus wasn't real significant at the constitutional convention--to be our 1st President.

Blue-Ambassador John Adams (MA)
Yellow-Secretary of State John Jay of New York
Red-Governor John Rutledge of South Carolina
Green-Judge Robert H. Harrison of Maryland

This is going according to actual election results. The gray states either weren't states yet or hadn't ratified the constitution. (Maine is voting as part of Massachusetts. The same could be done for Virginia, adding KY and WV)
