With Wallace becoming the only alternative to McGovern after strong performances in the South and Midwest, a massive convention battle ensues, and Wallace narrowly prevails after an appeal to some of the Scoop Jackson delegates.

1. Does Wallace win the Deep South?

2. What about blacks? Do they hold their nose and vote for Nixon, or do they go for a third party (possibly McGovern)?

I think Mike Gravel or McGovern, maybe Humphrey would launch a third-party bid.
