Around the age of nineteen, I developed a strange fear of brain tumors. I remember reading about Lee Atwater and even though he was a jerk, no one deserves that and also the thought that Atwater had no previous symptoms is even more disturbing.

I'm terrified of the police.

For example, they were inspecting train tickets a week or two ago, around 5:45 in the morning, and there must have been about eight of them, just standing there and waiting to pounce on someone for fare evasion.  I find it 'weird' that this would make anyone feel safe.

I'm a hypochondriac, so that stuff freaks me out too. I also have an unnatural fear of needles and veins, especially people touching my veins (moreso the veins in my wrists). I usually freak myself out and faint everytime I get blood drawn.

I have a few phobias, most of them rational, but my weirdest one is my phobia of loud sounds...excluding music.

Basically, if it gets too loud in the hallway at school, I'll cringe and it'll begin to bother me, but if I have my music at full volume, no problem.

Same, except including music.

I am very cautious about my eyes, and overly cautious about possible eye injuries.

I have a couple.  First, I am an "arachnaphobic", I am scared to death of spiders, which is my least favorite part of the warmer months.  Second, I have a VERY weak stomach, just the sight of blood, except my own, and my appetite is gone for at least 6-8 hours.  I can look at my own blood without too many problems, but I can't look at any other person's blood.  I can't watch horror shows or shows with a lot of violence for that reason.

Arachnophobia, when spelled correctly, does not require quote marks.

Not really, but I think the closest thing is a recurring theme to some of my dreams. I tend to have  a dream every few months where I'm still in college and I find myself in a class with a test that I'm totally unprepared for, and I'm unprepared because for some reason I had completely forgotten that I had signed up for the class and was neither attending it or studying for it. It's usually upon the realization of my unpreparedness that I wake up. Perhaps I have some fear of being unprepared?

I have a horrific fear of heights as well as spiders, instantaneous speed, undressing in public, looking at blood or hearts, needles and dead animals.

I'm a phobophiliac.

Mushrooms. When I was a kid I was told they were poisonous & have only ever touched one by mistake. Hate those little (or unfortunately, big) buggers. Even if they aren't poisonous, they still look a bit un-nerving. Once had a nightmare where I was in Alice & wonderland & I kept accidentally touching those huge ass mushrooms that were just lying around. When I woke up, it took me a while & a few hand washings to finally trust that my hands weren't poisonous.
