Powell, although there is no chance that he will run.

Also, I doubt that only republicans will vote in this and only democrats will vote in the other Sad

True, but I thought I'd try and see if we could get a fairly accurate look at how Republicans view their own candidates and likewise for the Democrats.

Santorum

If Santorum doesn't run, my support will likely go to Frist.

I can potentially chose to vote in the Republican primary in 2008. I may very well vote for John Sununu. I think he would be good for science, he would renew the Republican party away from the Neocons and help to promote our town of Bedford NH.

I could very well vote for Sununu in the general as well.

McCain - He's a reformer.  However, I have serious reservations about his strong support for Bush over Kerry even after being slammed by Bush in 2000 and frustrated by the administration's incompetence in Iraq.  What was he thinking?

I REALLY hope George Voinovich runs. I dont think he will but I hope he does. I would Also love to See Jeb, Cheney, Santorum or Hutchinson as the Nominee.

He was thinking he needs the base to get the nomination.

From that list:  Dole.  But I don't think there is a snowball's chance in Hell she will run again.

If not Dole, then I agree with you.  No Senators and no Southerners.  Those are my only two rules.

Some good rules, which apply to both parties if the South/North is reversed.  Which is the first mistake the Democrats made with choosing John Kerry.

He won't seek the nomination, but Jon Kyl is a very good guy.

Proves that Arizona has one good Senator.
