37% Romney

56% Obama
35% Gingrich

Obama Approval:

53% Approve
44% Disapprove

Romney: 41% favorable, 46% unfavorable
Gingrich: 28% favorable, 63% unfavorable

Methodology: The phone survey was conducted on Wednesday and Thursday, February 1 and 2, of 500 likely Connecticut voters and has a margin or error of 4.5 % with a 95% level of confidence.

The survey was conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, which is associated with Rasmussen Reports.

Question wording was based on public polling conducted by NBC News/Wall Street Journal, ABC News/Washington Post, CBS/New York Times, Quinnipiac, University of New Hampshire, Rasmussen, and Pew.

That is actually quite similar to a March 2008 poll by Rasmussen, which showed Obama leading McCain by 50-38 in CT.

Romney was behind by 2% four months ago in a PPP poll.  Based upon a review of their web site, Yankee Institute appears to have a conservative fiscal agenda.

This poll sounds about right to me. That PPP poll was a fluke, IMO.

The Prez poll probably came with the Senate poll. He needed to spend time and money on a senate poll so he might as well had did the prez race. In which the prez race is clearly non competetive.
