Is Gingrich hoping he can win all of the southern states and force Romney to make him his running mate? I don't get it. A Romney/Gingrich ticket would pretty much be this movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RN0DczbPznY&feature=related

Everything left is strong Romney.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Is the NV GOP delaying the vote count on purpose or are they really this incompetent? Have we finally figured out the reason for Nevada's apparent move towards the Democrats in recent years?

He'll get about 60% in Clark County which is half of the state so he'll end up at about 50%. Depressingly predictable.

I'm out.

God Bless Herman Cain.

As long as he's ever so slightly under 50%, I'll be satisfied.

Lord Cain forever.

The most hardcore Mormon areas are in the Clark County burbs.  In general, in the counties with more than a handful of votes, Mitt is running about 1%-4% behind 2008, except for Elko and Churchill County, where he's running about 5% ahead, which is also Mormon central (rural east Nevada is in general).

This is nothing new.  For whatever reason, Google decided to use the official vote count instead of the AP count.  Official vote counts often lag behind the AP count.  We don't notice it because we're usually focused on the AP tally via news websites.

The Nevada GOP really is incompetent if it takes this long.

Also, that special caucus coverage is really something. They call out a Paul vote, loud cheers, some guy gives a thumbs up, rinse and repeat.

They aren't reporting the Clark County results because of the Magical Jew Caucus which is still voting.

Just got back from watching 'The Descendants' -- what a depressing movie. I was sure that the results would have been overwhelmingly in by now. Jeez! So .... why is Romney doing so well in the rural counties? Looks like he landslides all but the few that went to Paul or Gingrich.

I know it's nothing new.  I was just addressing Eraserhead, and pointing out that he shouldn't look to the Google results as the most up to date.

Yeah, but why did they take so long to release all the other counties? It's ridiculous.

Washoe is finally all in in the official count via Google.  It matches the AP count.  Precinct results for Washoe are coming over the Twitter now.

Edited to add: NV GOP seems to have given up on reporting precinct level results for Washoe.  They dumped county level results in one precinct and are showing 0 votes in all others.

They're not voting anymore.  They're just counting the votes.  So there's no longer any reason to hold back Clark County results.

Romney's vote percentage in rural counties directly corrlolates with the number of Mormans.

Paul's vote percentage in rural counties directly correlates with the number of "Dale Gribble living in a trailer park"-types.
