Anyway, I've not seen a map yet. Or any results, really. But would I be so very wrong in suggesting that GingriCH is strong in the north of the state and that Rhymney does better in the more... er... cultural mainstream... places?

I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure that out.  It's a bit more complicated than that, though.

Isn't everything? A question, now. Any difference between the military industrial complex counties and those that are more traditionally carmine of neck?

There will be.

Gingrich flanked by wife, Callista, and daughter, Jackie, both born in 1966.

GOP turnout looks like 1.85 million compared with 1.95 million in 2008.

In fact, only SC so far had more turnout than 2008. IA, NH, FL are all down.

Interesting that Romney only won Duval County by a couple points even though he won convincingly in 2008.

Obama has declared war on the Catholic Church apparently. Somebody better tell Joe Biden.

Here's the Romney swing by county from 2012 to 2008 (Romney % 2012 - Romney % 2008):

Red is hot.  Blue cold.  The biggest swing was in southeast Florida, particularly Miami-Dade County.  And, as expected, Romney retrogressed in parts of Northern Florida.  Romney was the conservative candidate in 2008.

The primaries are starting to have some noticeably hilarious patterns.  More later.

Romney cleaned up with the Cubans and rich olds.  His best counties are Miami-Dade, Collier and Sumter.   Gingrich did best in rural parts of the panhandle, breaking 50% in two small counties.  That bodes well for Gingrich in much of the rest of the South.

121501 > 118696

248475 > 239793

And all the votes in Florida are not in yet.

Crack, it's a powerful drug.

Fort Walton Beach, Destin and Eglin Air Force Base.  It's more urban and military-industrial than many of the panhandle counties.

Romney's not winning it by much, just as he is not losing the other NW Florida military-industrial county, Escambia (Pensacola) by much, either.

Mittens looked almost human in his speech tonight. It's definitely the most personable I have ever seen him. Good job!

Okay, Mitt won't even be close to 50%. Good to know.

Take what small comfort you can even though Romney has achieved an absolute blowout.

There's no stopping us now, Winnie!

You got that right!

Congratulations Politico!

This isn't saying much, but (though hackish), this is - by far - Romney's best speech yet.

He is getting better with each speech. Imagine how good he'll be by the fall.

The 46 states to go signs really make newt look like a sore loser.

Yeah, it looked amateur and unbecoming. Imagine if Romney had come out after South Carolina with signs that said "47 states to go." Everybody would be LOL'ing all week about it, myself included. Really bad move by Gingrich, IMHO.
