Sn.Evan Bayh D-IN (I hope, and expect)

Sn.John Thune R-SD

Chris Heniz (perhaps)

I expect that we will see a Hispanic Democrat emerge in somewhere like Texas in the next 10-20 years and become a serious contender and very possibly president.

Harold Ford D-TN

Mat Blunt R-MO

Barack Obama D-IL

Problem is alot of Hispanics that are getting elected, except for a couple glaring exceptions like Bill Richardson, are Republicans. I think that over time especially as Hispanics become more assimilated into American life they will turn more to the Right and become a Republican constituency.

As with all of those I mention (save perhaps Bayh) a lot will depend on his time as a Senator, will be interesting to watch but at the moment all we have to go on is their presentational style and the way they campaign… so far so good for the new junior senator for South Dakota.
